I'm a foreigner lost in Japan, just rambling so I don't corrupt my English with Japanish. I've lived in Japan for a while, and I speak the language fluently (maybe a TOO fluently). I like Japanese comedy, walking and going out for drinks with the few friends I have.

The longest.shortest you've .....

Hey everyone..

Here's a series of questions... post your answers in the responses somewhere...
Mind you most of its x-rated, (shows what I've been doing at work)

1. The longest I've gone with out masturbating is.
1a. I've masturbated at work.

2. I've day-dreamed about having sex at work
2a. The person you've daydreamed was your boss

3. I've had sex with my partner but fantasized it was someone else.
3a. The person I was fantasizing was the next door neighbor.

4. I've never cheated on my partner.
4a. What's the definition of cheating ANYWAYS?

Being Vegetarian

For various reasons, many are becoming vegetarians. I see nothing wrong with not eating meat, seafood or even dairy products (vegans as they are called). I'm not one of them, well... at least not a complete vegetarian. I eat Chicken and Fish but I don't eat Beef and Pork. I was never a big fan of either and I don't feel deprived. Every now and then, meat connoisseurs back at home ask if I had Kobe Beef. I never have and don't plan to. Its pretty expensive from what I've heard. You could imagine how expensive it would be to feed cows with beer and haved them massaged everyday while listening to classical music.

But by being vegetarian, you automatically put yourself in a position to be the deciding factor what dinner should be. A few of my friends are vegetarians. When we plan on going out for dinner, we have to consider places where they are flexible in providing vegetarian options that are NOT on the menu. In addition you have to be flexible by sacrificing by having chopped up veggies while everyone else enjoys dinner. If you live in a progressive neighborhood, fine as vegetarians you'll probably find lots of options but if not, like in Japan you're stuck.

One of my friends, AA, is vegetarian. Its almost he lives in a jungle, going out to a nice restaurant for dinner, is fighting for survival. The next instance after sitting at a table, he grabs the waiter and tells, "i'm vegetarian what can you make?" The poor waiter is in a shock, grabs the head waiter has him attend to us.

Seriously... if you're going to act like an ass about being vegetarian, STAY HOME!!

Pathetic...

in Japan, the 23rd is a national holiday. I can't remember for what. But this year, the 23rd falls on a Friday making it a "SPECIAL" 3 day weekend. I can understand for couples who want to spend their xmas together including x-mas eve, but calling December 23rd as x-mas eve eve, its just plain pathetic. Call it tacky marketing, the travel industry was trying to get couples to spend not 2 days but 3 days together.

As for me, I do not have any plans for xmas. No parties, no dates, NOTHING...

you don't have to feel sorry for me.

WOW...

I never thought I would get 2 responses from the my earlier blog. Thank you.. I will post a follow-up if anything happens the next time I go to the gym...

Speaking of meeting women, there's another I meet few times a week. I meet this lady on the public bus.

Now.. you might think what kinda of people you would expect to meet on a public bus. But thing is, in Japan, the country is pretty small and everything is accessssible by public means. Car ownership is expensive, considering you have to have parking space before buying a car. Streets are narrow and street parking is not recommended on a regular basis. Plus, it helps that the system is here is pretty good with times. I've read somewhere that only in Japan, would you find bus stops with bus time written upto the minute... and yes the bus does come on time 95% of the time I've rode on it.

Getting back... the lady isn't exactly young and hot but she's decent. She has her hair dyed sandy blonde, white from her make-up and wears shocking pink lipstick. I assumed she works in an office environment judging by the fact she on the bus in the morning, but never asked what she did for a living. I have a habit of smiling at people when eye contact is made and she's one of them that went a step further to actual conversation. The first time we spoke was when she was with her 6 year boy (I overheard this one). She nugged her boy into saying, "HELLO" to me in English. I surprised them both but saying good morning to them both in Japanese. Since then, we spoken a few time when we meet on the bus.

You're thinking, I shouldn't go any further since she's got a boy, hence married. But while I'm trying to figure this lady out, I'm getting confused. She has a boy but no wedding ring. So it could be she's previously been married and now has custody of the boy. Its not my business to ask whether she's married or not but she's asked the same to thing to me. She saw I wore a ring on my right, wedding finger. I told her its not a wedding ring but my birthstone I wear. A few times she worn a V-neck sweater and I mean V. So much so, its almost like she wants people (men) to see her cleavage. Plus today on the bus, she was reading a guide to taking the TOEIC. (Test of English for International Communication, think TOFEL for non-native English speakers. She's mentioned in the past that she and her boy were learning English on their own, English school are expensive she's said).

So.. should i offer my services as a native english speaker to help her, learn English with her boy? Should I charge her for it? Or should I get her to repay in kind. (if you catch my drift... LOL)

Yes, I know what you all are thinking...I'm a wimp when it comes to women.

How do I ask a girl from the gym out for coffee?

There is this Chinese girl, in the gym I see every weekend. She not exactly drop dead beautiful but she's pretty decent looking. We've spoken a few times and she seems sweet. The thing is, we're both sweating, on the stepping machine, burning our fat, is it the right to ask her if she's interested in coffee later? So far, one of us are already sweating when the other walks in the gym so to go for end together doesn't seem possible.

I think she's not seeing anyone right now because, in our conversations we've had she has said she's spends her weekends reading in her apartment after working out and works in the evening in a restaurant.

I'm a shy type of guy. I'm not exactly suave with the ladies... I've had opportunities in the past that I've recognized but failed to act on. I'm not asking for sure-fire pickup lines I can use on her but just the fact that asking a lady in a gym doesn't seem right..

ANyone help???

Hello,
Hope everyone is having a festive holiday season...

Having finally gotten my blog up and running, I tried to think what to write about. Living in Japan, I see many things that I would not normally expect to see in the U.S. Plus I seem to have this knack for noticing the small things people would not normally notice. In college, I was the one walking around campus, picking up pennies others have dropped or threw away. In addition, my mind seems to be constantly ticking... thinking... jogging down memory lane...fantasizing... I do this often, maybe its because I have too much time on my hands.

Anyways... just starting this blog.. I hope to write more later...

WoooHooo

Hello everyone...
I FINALLY joined in the rest of the crowd by sssetting up this blog.
I hope to get this up and running, making it part of my daily (weekly, monthly?!?!) routine.

About myself... I'm 29yrs old, male, living in Japan. (soon, I will reveal all)
I'm about 6'2, 190 pounds, normal build. As you can imagine, I am a giant, living in a small-man's world. I don't have any hobbies... like to surf the web, watch Japanese TV and go walking around my neighborhood.
I am currently working in a crap company, hoping one day I'll be able to jump and switch jobs to a enviroment better than I am in now.

Hopefully, I'll get people to come and read some of the (funny, serious, x-rated, just rambling...) stuff I have written on this blog.
